A large brush fire that forced the closure of US Highway 19 Monday began as a campfire, according to fire officials, and is not considered arson. US 19 reopened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The highway was closed from Hudson Avenue and New York Avenue, which meant delays and detours for morning commuters.
