Accused police killer's widow speaks out

SEMINOLE, Fla. - The widow of accused police killer Hydra Lacy offered condolences to the officers' families and apologized for her husband's actions Tuesday. Christine Lacy spoke briefly to reporters at her sister's home in Seminole. Lacy spoke 24 hours after the body of her husband was pulled from the rubble of their St. Petersburg home. Hydra Lacy was killed in a gun battle with police Monday morning. Police demolished the home looking for Lacy. Police Chief Chuck Harmon said Hydra Lacy ambushed the officers who were there to arrest him on a fugitive warrant. Two St. Petersburg Police officers were killed. A Deputy US Marshal was wounded.
