One dead in apartment complex shooting

TAMPA, Fla. - The Hillsborough County Sheriff?s Department is searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man over night at the Waterford Apartment Complex. Officials say they received a 911 call at 3:38 a.m. about a man who had been shot at an apartment complex located at 4733 W. Waters Avenue. When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man lying in the parking lot with gun shot wounds to the chest. He was transported to St. Joseph?s Hospital, where he died. K-9 units and a sheriff?s helicopter were called to the scene to search for a possible suspect . Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are still on scene looking for witnesses and gathering evidence to identify the shooter. Detectives do not believe this was a random shooting.
