Tour de Broward Raises Thousands For Children's Hospital

The Tour de Broward was held in Miramar Sunday morning.The event raised almost $300,000 for the oncology wing of the new Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital."The children's hospital in Hollywood has been in existence for many years, but this is now the first free-standing building being built to accommodate the program that has been in place for 17 years now," said the chairman of the Tour de Broward, Al Fernandez.About 1,000 cyclists completed either a 50K or 100K ride. There was also a 3K walk and a 5K run.
