Feds charge 21 in Ga. drug trafficking ring

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Federal prosecutors in Brunswick have charged 21 people with conspiring to distribute cocaine and marijuana in Georgia and Florida.U.S. Attorney Edward Tarver said the indictment unsealed this week also charges some of the defendants with weapons violations.The charges resulted from a joint investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the FBI and local authorities. Each defendant could face a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $4 million fine if convicted of the drug trafficking conspiracy charge.
