Cops: Man Shot In Face, Killed; Gunman On The Run

(see map) .Detectives said several rounds were fired and 25-year-old Michael Cockrell was shot ones time in the head around 11:30pm Sunday. He was transported to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.Residents told WFTV it started with some kind of fight. But Cockrell's sister said he was just an innocent bystander and he was visiting a friend."He left behind two sisters, brothers, nephews, a son. We need to know who did it," said Kamech Cockrell, Michael's sister.Investigators are still searching for clues about the shooter. They said there were at least 20 witnesses to the shooting.Brenda Lennear said she heard the gunshots from her home.
