Woman Saved From Burning Home Dies

On Sunday night, a Volusia County Sheriff's deputy and two Orange City police officers pulled a disabled woman from her burning home.The woman couldn't get out of her chair after it caught fire when she fell asleep with a lit cigarette in her hand. The officers said they could hear 47-year-old Kelli Williams moaning inside the home when they arrived.The blaze engulfed the living room and the officers braved it to pull the victim out.She was rushed to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, but died Tuesday night.
