Orange County schools given 'all clear' after roach infestation

ORANGE COUNTY -- Orange County public schools now have a handle on an infestation of cockroaches. Mondaythe district saidallof the22 schools that had beeninfesteted are now clear. By the end of last week, 12 schools were given the all clear. Monday, OCPS has given the cleared the remaining 10. The problem was so bad, students at Lake Silver Elementary had to eat outside because the cafeteria was infested with German Cockroaches. Twenty two schools had what's considered an unacceptable infestation,which is20 roaches or more. The infestations were uncovered during nighttime inspections last month. The roaches were found in kitchens, dining and storage areas. District officials say they've eradicated the insects at all 22 schools. Here's the full list of the affected schools:
