Click it or ticket: State authorities crack down on motorists who fail to buckle-up

Small Type Florida Highway Patrol troopers and other local law-enforcement agencies are targeting motorists who don't buckle up as part of a two-week crack down known as the national "Click It or Ticket" campaign.Florida's law requires all drivers and passengers in the front seat of a vehicle to fasten their safety belts. Anyone under age 18, must also be buckled-up regardless of where they're seated in the car.If you're cited for snubbing the law, a ticket from FHP starts with a $30 base fine and can cost you court costs as well if you're convicted.Floridians appear to be getting the message that safety belts are a must.
