Puerto rican activist group to start a chapter in central florida

The National Congress for Puerto Rican Rights (NCPRR), founded in the South Bronx in 1981, is having a discussion May 21st on bringing a local chapter to the Central Florida area. For those who don't know what the NCPRR represents, on their website they claim they are a "mass membership, activist, grassroots organization dedicated to securing full equality and an end to discrimination against Puerto Ricans. It is a volunteer organization which does not solicit government funds." Basically the NCPRR is a group whose members fight for the rights of the Puerto Rican people in that community by organizing events that fight discrimination from the governent and other entities in the community.
