Bomb Squad Investigates Van At Miami Airport

A bomb squad was called to investigate a van at Miami International Airport on Monday afternoon, Miami-Dade police said.Miami-Dade police spokesman Robert Williams said the department was alerted to the van Monday afternoon at the airport's southeast gate.Bomb-sniffing dogs alerted authorities to possible explosives aboard the van, Miami-Dade police said.The bomb squad investigated the van, which was parked away from the airport terminal.Airport spokeswoman Maria Levant said she has been communicating with police but, "There is no reason for concern unless they say there is."From Sky 10 overhead, a robot could be seen removing items from the van and lining them up on the pavement nearby.Miami-Dade police said everything was removed from the van, but nothing dangerous was found inside.
