HOHHOT, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported a foreign trade volume of 152.99 billion yuan (about 21.43 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of 2023, up 28.3 percent year on year.
Exports rose 22 percent year on year to 59.79 billion yuan, and imports grew 32.7 percent to 93.2 billion yuan, according to the customs bureau in Hohhot, the capital of the region.
From January to October, the region's private enterprises saw rapid growth in their foreign trade volume, which increased 39.2 percent year on year to 114.35 billion yuan.
The region's trade with Belt and Road participating countries increased to approximately 118.79 billion yuan during the period, up 38.42 percent year on year.
